Thanksgiving Day Success!

The numbers are in!!!!

Good evening friends and family! We are so excited to announce the success of our 18th annual Thanksgiving Day holiday! 

With the help of community support, our amazingly hard-working staff, over 200 volunteers, 

and dedication of our owner Charles Morgan

and his cute wife, Carla

 . . . (drum roll please . . . )

We raised $19,488 and fed 1,674 people!

Proceeds from the day broke the record of the most successful Thanksgiving hosted to date!! $19,488 was split down the middle and handed over to Okaloosa County Habitat for Humanity and Destin Harvest.

Pounds upon pounds of turkeys was served 

All the fixins prepared and carefully crafted with love and appreciation on this very special day. So special you could feel it in the air . . . 

Over the last eighteen years, we've been so honored to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars through these efforts and this year was the most successful year to date. We are so committed and take great pride in giving back to the Destin community. 

Morgan’s charity efforts span nationwide, specifically in the Southeast. Harbor Docks’ sister restaurant, Chuck’s Fish located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama fed over 500 guests on Thanksgiving Day free of charge. 

$8,500 was raised for a Tuscaloosa charity project called Project Blessings.

We'd like to thank each and every one of you for helping make this special day happen and go down in history as the best yet! We look forward to making next year even better! Let's give thanks each and every day because we are blessed to call this place home . . .

Harbor Docks hosts 18^th Annual Free Thanksgiving Day Dinner TOMORROW!

One extraordinary day a year, we turn in our famous seafood menu for a Thanksgiving Day feast, an 18 year tradition to benefit Okaloosa Habitat forHumanity and Destin Harvest.

Friends and family, locals and tourists alike are welcome to gather at the restaurant for this unforgettable event on Thursday, November 22, Thanksgiving Day from 11 am till 7 pm. 

Come join the celebration and enjoy a traditional, home-style Thanksgiving Day feast compliments of our owner, Charles Morgan. 

Charles partners with Okaloosa Habitat and Destin Harvest for this event is to assist in the mission of eliminating substandard living conditions locally, one meal at a time. Morgan finds this time of year to be an occasion to show gratitude within the community by preparing a delicious dinner that will leave guests ready to relax and enjoy their holiday. 

None of it would be possible without our wonderful Miss Anne Jones who has been cooking all of the food for 18 years! Thanks Miss Anne!

And we can't forget Miss Dang!

Morgan covers the entire cost and partners with Habitat for Humanity and Destin Harvest to raise awareness and funds for the non-profit organizations. AJ’s Seafood and Oyster Bar has graciously donated ham for the event while The Donut Hole will kindly provide the dessert.

Donations may be made to Okaloosa Habitat for Humanity or Destin Harvest as a “thank you” and to assist them with their work in the local community. Last year the annual Thanksgiving event fed more than 1,500 people and raised more than $20,000 with 100 percent of donations going directly to local needs.

We will provide table service with plated food to avoid lines and make the day more enjoyable to spend with family and friends. A cash bar will be available.

Okaloosa Habitat and Destin Harvest’s contribution for the day is more than 200 volunteers to cover every position in the restaurant. Our employees will be on-site to assist and guide the crews on how to carry out tasks.

We encourage everyone to partake in this year’s Thanksgiving and are looking forward to seeing familiar and new faces to come and enjoy this day of thanks with us at Harbor Docks.
